Mini's 1998 GT Brings JCW Chassis Hardware Under the $40,000 Mark

· 1 min read

Mini has priced its newest special edition, the 2027 1998 GT, below $40,000 while equipping it with suspension tuned by John Cooper Works, the brand's in-house performance division. It's a car built to carry itself like a proper hot hatch — sharpened underpinnings, special-edition trim — without asking buyers to pay hot-hatch money or take on hot-hatch intensity. For collectors watching the entry end of the performance-car market, it's a rare case of factory hardware arriving ahead of the price tag.
