The American SetMini's New Special Edition Brings JCW Hardware Under $40,000
Mini has confirmed a 2027 special edition, the 1998 GT, that borrows its suspension and brake setup directly from the John Cooper Works line. For collectors who want the sharper stopping power and handling gear associated with Mini's performance trim, the 1998 GT delivers it without the JCW badge's usual price premium, landing under the $40,000 mark. It is a rare case of a manufacturer moving its hottest running gear down the lineup rather than reserving it for the flagship. Buyers watching the used and new Mini market should note the name for when allocations open.
