Mitsubishi Brings Back the Pajero, Built the Way Off-Roaders Still Want
Mitsubishi will revive the Pajero nameplate for the 2027 model year, and the new SUV is going about it the old-fashioned way. It rides on a traditional ladder frame rather than a car-based platform, seats seven across three rows, and comes equipped with hardware built for actual use off pavement, not just the look of it. That construction puts the returning Pajero in direct competition with the Toyota Land Cruiser, a rivalry built on shared respect for proven, body-on-frame engineering.
