The No. 31 Whelen Cadillac Carries Jack Aitken to the 2026 GTP Title

· 1 min read

For readers who follow the American marque in competition, the top-class honor in IMSA's WeatherTech series this year goes to a Cadillac. Jack Aitken has won the 2026 GTP championship in the No. 31 Whelen Cadillac, and simply taking the start at Petit Le Mans was enough to settle it. It is his first title in the GTP class. Aitken finished on the podium again and again this season, and by the time the field rolled away at Petit Le Mans the championship was already his. Collectors and owners will want to note the details: the car is the No. 31, the program is Whelen's, and the result is the 2026 GTP championship.
