A Porsche 944 With a Wagon Roof, Modeled on Günter Artz's 924 Turbo S, Is Headed for a Sale

· 1 min read

This is a Porsche 944 that no factory built. It has been reworked by hand into a shooting brake, with the roofline pulled back into a long, squared tail in place of the familiar glass hatch. Its designer took their cue from a single earlier car, Günter Artz's wagon version of the 924 Turbo S, and carried that idea over to the 944 that followed it. It will be offered for sale soon, and it's one to watch for collectors from Palm Beach to Aspen who follow front-engine Porsches and the rare coachbuilt cars made from them.

With reporting from Robb Report Motors.
