The Ranger Super Duty America Never Got Just Went Six-Wheeled for Military Duty
Ford has taken its Ranger Super Duty — a heavy-duty version of the pickup that has never been sold to American drivers — and reworked it into a six-wheeled prototype built specifically for military use. The added wheels mark it out immediately from the Ranger lineup familiar to civilian buyers, signaling a truck built for a very different job than hauling gear to the job site. For American Ranger owners, it's a glimpse at a variant of their truck that exists only on the other side of the fence, doing work most of us will never see it do.
