A Six-Wheeled Ford Ranger Built for the Military, Not the Showroom

Ford has taken its Ranger Super Duty, already the toughest version of the pickup, and turned it into a six-wheeled prototype aimed at military use. The Super Duty itself is a truck American buyers cannot walk into a dealership and order; this variant pushes further still, adding a third axle to handle duty the standard Ranger was never meant for. For now it remains a prototype, an engineering exercise rather than a production vehicle, built to demonstrate what the platform can carry when the mission demands more than two axles.
