Tesla Roadster Deposit List Reopens, Priced Like a New Mustang GT

Tesla has reopened its reservation list for the second-generation Roadster, inviting new deposits of $50,000 apiece. The car itself remains unseen by the public, with a full reveal withheld until October 1. That deposit figure lands at roughly the price of a new Ford Mustang GT, committed sight unseen for a car whose specifications have yet to be shown. For now, a place on the list is the only thing money buys.
