Twenty-Five Horsepower, Five Hundred Miles: The Case for the Slow Way

· 1 min read

Road & Track columnist Farah has written a guide for first-timers on covering 500 miles aboard a Vespa, a scooter with 25 horsepower. Farah's verdict is that a long ride on so modest a machine turns out to be an excellent way to see the country around you. That is a useful thing for a collector to hear, whether the garage holds something from Palm Beach or something from the Colorado foothills: the car or bike with the least power can still give you the best day out. We did not ride it ourselves, so the miles and the conclusions are Farah's, and the full guide is the place to go before setting out.

With reporting from Road & Track.
