Volkswagen's Most Powerful GTI Yet Runs On A Battery, Not A Tank

Volkswagen has handed its GTI badge to an electric hatchback for the first time. The ID.3 GTI now outproduces both the Golf GTI and the ID. Polo GTI in horsepower and torque, making it the strongest GTI the automaker currently builds. For a nameplate synonymous with hot hatches, the highest output now comes from the battery-powered model in the lineup.
