Your 2009–2016 Porsche Can Now Run Wireless CarPlay, and It Comes From Porsche Itself

· 1 min read

Porsche has made its Classic Communication Management Plus unit available for Boxster, Cayman and 911 cars from the 2009 through 2016 model years. The system brings wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto to the dash, along with other features. For an owner in Naples or Aspen who has kept one of these cars rather than trade it in, that means phone navigation and music on the car's own screen, with no cable across the console. The unit comes from the Porsche Classic program, so this is the factory's own answer for these cars, not an aftermarket workaround.
