The Keeneland Library, and the Woman Setting Its Course

Ferraro is being recognized for leading the Keeneland Library's progress, and America's Best Racing has chosen her for its Women in Racing series. Most coverage of the Keeneland name follows the racetrack and the sales ring. The library is where the sport keeps its own record, and it matters to anyone who cares about pedigrees, the horses and the people who shaped American racing. It's worth our readers' attention that a woman is steering that institution, and that the sport has made a point of saying so.
