Let Em Know Wins the Pilgrim at Belmont, Jackie's Warrior's First Graded Stakes Winner

Let Em Know came into Saturday's Grade II Pilgrim Stakes at Belmont as an outsider and won it. He is by Jackie's Warrior, who has his first crop racing this year, and the win makes Let Em Know the first graded stakes winner for his sire. Jackie's Warrior is by Maclean's Music, so the result also reaches back one generation in the pedigree. The Pilgrim gives its winner an automatic place in the starting gate of a bigger race, so the colt's success also earned him a guaranteed spot. It is one race, but a stallion only gets one first graded stakes winner, and Jackie's Warrior got his in New York.
