The American SetSanta Anita Sends Hughes, Thought Process and Domain Expansion Toward the Breeders' Cup
Three names stood out on the Santa Anita card this weekend. Hughes, Thought Process and Domain Expansion each won their Breeders' Cup prep at the Arcadia track, and none of the three wins was close. Some of the weekend's runners are still unbeaten, which gave the prep day in the San Gabriel foothills extra weight. For Los Angeles horsemen, it was a strong showing on home ground ahead of the championships.
