Listenupshance Beats Maximum Bourbon Again, This Time in the Santa Anita Sprint Championship

Listenupshance was the better sprinter at Santa Anita once more. The 4-year-old gelding, by Shancelot out of the Hard Spun mare Listenupnow, took the 'WAYI' Santa Anita Sprint Championship and has now won two races in a row. The race looked a lot like the Grade I Bing Crosby Stakes, because the same two horses finished on top, and Listenupshance again got the better of Maximum Bourbon, the son of Maximum Security, in the final strides. He races for Great Friends Stables and Run Fast Racing. Two good sprinters meeting a second time rarely gives the same answer, and this time it did.
