New York Breeders Gain a Grade I Pegasus Winner for the 2027 Season

Skippylongstocking, who won the Grade I Pegasus World Cup Invitational, is going to stud in New York. Owner Daniel Alonso has sent the horse to Amsterdam Two Farm in Middleburgh, where he will begin covering mares in 2027. That puts a Grade I winner on a New York farm, and the state's breeders can book him without shipping their mares far. He is by Exaggerator out of the mare Twinkling, and his broodmare sire is War Chant. A breeder looking at that page will see a Grade I win on the racetrack and a pedigree to plan matings around. The 2027 date also gives Middleburgh some time before the first mares arrive at their new stallion. A horse who won one of the country's top dirt races is now beginning his second career on a New York farm.
