A Nyquist Daughter Beats a Strong Seven-Horse Field in the Grade I Alcibiades

· 1 min read

A filly by Nyquist has won the Grade I Darley Alcibiades, and she did it against one of the toughest small fields of the juvenile season. Seven two-year-old fillies went to the post. They included the winner of the Grade I Spinaway, three youngsters that Thoroughbred Daily News had already singled out as promising, and a filly who shares both sire and dam with this year's Grade I Kentucky Oaks winner. Beating that group gives the Nyquist filly a top-level win and marks her as a young horse to watch.

With reporting from Thoroughbred Daily News.
