Super Corredora Is Back in Front, and Back on the Breeders' Cup Path
Super Corredora ran the Zenyatta Stakes from the front and never gave up the lead, winning in her first start in six months. She had been away since the winter and spring, a stretch in which she had trouble matching the form she showed last October, when she won the Grade I Breeders' Cup Juvenile Fillies. She came back from the layoff looking like that filly again. The Zenyatta is a "Win and You're In" race, so the victory earns her a starting place in this year's Breeders' Cup. The champion filly of last fall comes into the championships having won the way she wins best, on the lead from start to finish.
