Thought Process Stays Perfect at Santa Anita in the Rodeo Drive

Thought Process came into the Rodeo Drive Stakes at Santa Anita with four starts over the track and four wins, and she leaves it still unbeaten there. The 4-year-old filly by Collected, out of the Creative Cause mare Creative Thinking, drew the rail and used it at once, breaking sharply and taking control early. From there the rest of the field was chasing her, and the gap only grew as the race went on. By the end she was well clear, with nothing close enough to make a race of it. Five starts and five wins at the same track is a rare record for any horse, and it is worth noting in Arcadia, where she has now done all five. Her pedigree is what Southern California breeders will look at next: Collected on top, and Creative Cause, himself a Santa Anita name, as broodmare sire. The race also carries the name of the most famous shopping street in Beverly Hills, a few freeway exits west, and on this afternoon Thought Process was its best-dressed runner by some distance.
