A Student Designer Gets Vera Wang's Hand on Their Award in New York

On October 23, Vera Wang will hand the Solstiss-Academy Award to a fashion student chosen as the best of their class, and she'll do it in New York. This is the first time the award will be given, so whoever wins will also set the standard for every winner after them. The ceremony will take place at Villa Albertine, the name used by the French Embassy's cultural services office in the city, which makes the evening a French-American event held on Manhattan ground.
