Billy Joel's Ducatis and Triumphs Go to Auction Just as Florida's Riding Weather Arrives

The machines on offer are classic motorcycles from Billy Joel's collection, and the list includes both Ducatis and Triumphs. The sale is set for November. That's the month the humidity finally lets up from Palm Beach to Naples and a ride down A1A or out along the Tamiami Trail starts to sound good again. Joel has won six Grammy Awards, so a lot of people know his music. Fewer know that he owned these bikes. Ducati is Italian and Triumph is British, and anyone who has stood in a parking lot on a Saturday morning can tell them apart without a badge. Miami will show up to see who's bidding, Palm Beach will act like it isn't watching, and Naples will already have a garage bay cleared. However it goes in November, the collection has been worth keeping an eye on.
