A Curator Dressed It, and the Best Room at the Caribbean Has No Ceiling
In Miami Beach, a $7 million penthouse at the Caribbean is on the market, and the part people will talk about is on the roof. The home has four bedrooms, but the rooftop is large enough that it reads as its own floor, and it's the whole reason the address stands out. Up there, the sky does the job of the ceiling. Downstairs, the rooms were done by Ximena Caminos, who curates art, and they are full of color. That's a very Miami Beach decision. In Palm Beach, a penthouse would usually whisper, and in Naples it would lean toward sand and linen. Here, a curator chose bright color on purpose, and it takes some confidence to live with. Taken together, the listing shows what makes a home memorable. Four bedrooms is a normal count. A rooftop of that size and rooms put together by someone who arranges art for a living are not normal. It's a home made for people who want the colors inside to hold their own against the Miami Beach light.
