Reposado, by Way of the Orchard: Cazcanes Puts Its Tequila in Fruit-Seasoned Barrels

Cazcanes has released a set of reposado tequilas, and each one rested in a barrel that had earlier held a liqueur made from stone fruit, with a different fruit's liqueur behind every barrel. It brings the one-barrel-at-a-time idea that whiskey drinkers know well to agave. In Miami that sounds like the start of a cocktail menu, in Palm Beach like a new bottle for the bar cart, and in Naples like something to sip slowly on the lanai while everyone argues over which barrel was best. All three are right.
