A Room at the Frick, Scaled Down for Palm Beach
Eittem has partnered with New York's Frick Collection on a new set of accessories, and some of the inspiration came from one room inside the museum's mansion, the Walnut Room. Anyone who has stayed in a gallery longer than the plan allowed will understand why a designer would start with a single room rather than the whole house. Palm Beach will get the idea right away, since this is a town that talks about a well-proportioned room the way other places talk about a good tailor. Naples will like that the brief stayed focused on one room, and Miami will mostly want to know where the pieces should go. The appeal is simple: something that began as a museum interior on Fifth Avenue becomes something you can take home.
