A Sauna in Its Own Mirrored Pavilion, for $14 Million in the Hollywood Hills
The house that was once Michael B. Jordan's in the Hollywood Hills is now for sale at $14 million. The selling point here is the sauna. Ome Dezin, a design studio based in Los Angeles, remodeled the residence and gave the sauna a pavilion of its own, finished in mirror. That makes it a separate small building, put up for nothing but heat and quiet. In Florida we can get the heat by walking to the car, so a dedicated room for it reads as a California idea. Miami would line the walls with something louder, Palm Beach would ask whether it comes in a shade of green, and Naples would want to know if it is next to the pool. Still, we know good work, and a firm that gives the sauna its own structure and lets mirrors do the decorating has thought about it carefully. The price buys the whole house, but the sauna pavilion is what buyers will remember.
