Ocala's $825,000 Filly Wins Her First Start at Santa Anita
Mo Chuisle needed only one start to show what an $825,000 price looks like on the racetrack. Sabby Racing's 2-year-old filly won her debut at Santa Anita, and Vino Vino Vino, a son of Vino Rosso, couldn't catch her before the line. That makes her a winner the first time she ran. Her sire is Omaha Beach and her dam is Charmeer, a daughter of Candy Ride (Arg), so the pedigree has quality on both sides. Buyers at the OBS April sale in Ocala pay for what a young horse shows them before she has ever raced. A winning debut in California is the best early answer a seller and a buyer can get. For one filly, the Florida sale ring and the Santa Anita winner's circle now tell the same story.
